I thought it was finally time to take a look at this program since I’ve seen so many different “products” linked to it. (More about those later.)
Because I’ve had so many run-ins with those other sales pages, it makes me want to write off My Ecom Club right away. However, it’s good to take a better look into something before completely writing it off.
From my previous research, I know that My Ecom Club is a training website dedicated to showing people how to run an e-commerce dropshipping site.
Dropshipping is a completely legitimate business, so that is good news.
But, is My Ecom Club the best place to learn dropshipping? Is it a scam, or a legitimate program? What if it ends up not being right for you? Is it easy to get a refund? Who’s behind this business?
All of those questions and more will be answered below in this My Ecom Club review.

What is My Ecom Club?
When first landing on the My Ecom Club page, you see that they’re giving a free 7-day course.
After signing up for the course, you’re led to watch a video from Teo Vee where he says we’re about to embark on a journey to financial freedom. He says we have been granted access to a real $200 program.
He talks about the economy and how relying on a 9-5 job isn’t a great idea anymore and we need alternative ways to make an income. He says he has good news for us because we now have access to a proven method of making money from home.
He says that he’ll show us:
- How to quickly and easily get your site set up
- What company they use
- What to sell
He says he’s giving us this $200 training for free, but there are 3 catches:
- You have to actually go through the material to ensure that you learn it
- Take action on what you learn
- The most successful students worked with a mentor, and Teo suggest you do that too
Teo really pushes the mentor aspect, and says that for a very limited time he’s going to extend the chance to work one-on-one with one of his coaches. (This is not for a limited time, that’s a marketing trick.)

He says that your coach:

- Answer your questions
- Help you every step of the way
This is our first upsell. Adding a coach will be $37. I skipped that offer.
After logging in to My Ecom Club, there’s another video presented by someone named Jordan Phillips. From there, you’re asked to sign an agreement which basically says you’ll do your part to try to succeed, you can cancel at any time and you can receive a refund within 30 days of purchase.
Receiving a refund may not be as easy as they make it seem, but we’ll get into that later.
After logging into My Ecom Club, I have to say that everything is laid out nicely and it’s easy to navigate around. The first “training” video is Teo trying to sell us on another bonus training of his.
I don’t see any issue with that as that’s just a part of marketing, and they clearly state that it isn’t necessary to view it.
After the bonus training video, you finally get into the real training. And I have to say, what I was able to see what quite good. But then I got stuck. Let me show you what happened in the next section.
How Does My Ecom Club Work?
My Ecom Club is all about dropshipping. According to this article from Shopify:
“Dropshipping is a retail fulfillment method where a store doesn’t keep the products it sells in stock. Instead, when a store sells a product, it purchases the item from a third party and has it shipped directly to the customer. As a result, the merchant never sees or handles the product.
The biggest difference between dropshipping and the standard retail model is that the selling merchant doesn’t stock or own inventory. Instead, the merchant purchases inventory as needed from a third party – usually a wholesaler or manufacturer – to fulfill orders.”

And My Ecom Club trains you how to do dropshipping, mostly through Aliexpress. I started off with viewing the first two training videos:
- Step 1 – An overview of e-commerce
- Step 2 – Selecting a niche (topic) that you’ll love
I tried to mark my second video as complete so I could go to the next one, and here’s what happened:
It won’t let me go through to the next video without contacting my business advisor. And, to tell you the truth, I’m not really interested in contacting Matt.
He looks like a nice guy and all, but after doing some research on this company in the past, these advisors are more like sales people and they try to get you to upgrade to their other products. And those upgrades can be costly!
How Much Does My Ecom Club Cost?
Well, I think it’s nice that they’re giving away some of the training for free. I have seen some people say that they paid $97 for the basic training, which is what I’m assuming is the free training now.
The issue with the basic training is that it’s too basic to actually put it to practical use. It’s more of an overview of the business and how it works (from what I saw myself and from what others wrote.)
I’m going to be upfront and tell you I didn’t purchase anything from My Ecom Club. I’m not interested in dropshipping right now (I prefer affiliate marketing). But I have seen some incredible stories of what happens to people when they do sign up.
After the free training, you’ll then be asked to upgrade to have 2 stores built for you. That’s $1997. Then you apparently get access to more training, but only if you apply for a loan.
Why would you need a loan? Because they have other packages they try to sell you on ranging from $8,000 – $30,000. I even saw someone mention a $40,000 package.
There’s also a $97 / month fee if you want additional help, but it’s not training, it’s weekly calls with one of the owners. And you will need more training (which will cost ya. You need more training because you won’t know how to advertise your stores to get people to them.

Is My Ecom Club a Scam or Legit?
Is My Ecom Club a scam? Since I didn’t purchase anything from them and see for myself how they work, I really don’t want to call it a scam.
But from what I’ve read and what I’ve seen, I do believe some pieces of it are pretty shady and I just want you to really know what you’re getting into with this.
They do have a lot of happy customers, but the way that they try to get you to upgrade is not cool, in my opinion and therefore I really wouldn’t recommend this.

Pros & Cons
Pros
- Dropshipping is a legitimate way to make money
- Teo Vee seems to have a lot of experience and you can learn some great things from him
- You get a little bit of good, free training
Cons
- Your personal advisor will likely try to sell you on the upgraded packages
- You can only do so much with the free training and you will be bombarded with upgrades
- Upgrades start from $37, then $1997 and go up to tens of thousands of dollars
- You never quite get all the training you need until you upgrade to the next level, which causes you to need more training
- I have seen complaints of people having a hard time getting a refund
My Ecom Club Complaints
To be fair, they don’t have a terrible rating at the Better Business Bureau, and they do have some good customer comments. (Are those real comments though? Honestly, you never know, but we’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.)
I do see that they make an effort to satisfy all the complaints. I think the running theme of their complaints is that a person spends a lot of money on these stores, but there just isn’t enough help and information to make them successful. Who is the Owner of My Ecom Club?
I’ve always just associated My Ecom Club with Teo Vee, since he’s in almost all the product videos I’ve seen. (More about these in a minute.) But apparently there are quite a few names associated with My Ecom Club.
But we also have Jordan Phillips who made an appearance in the videos. And then there’s also the name Rocky Lin associated with this.
We have no idea who is the main person behind My Ecom Club, and that is a big red flag. I did read that both Rocky Lin and Jordan Phillips (also known as Jordan Daniels) have been involved in shady high-ticket scams in the past.
Yikes.

Conclusion
I hope this My Ecom Club review helped you determine whether or not it’s the right path for you to build a business online. Dropshipping is definitely a legitimate business, and can be a great way to make money if you know what you’re doing.
Unfortunately, it looks like you might end up in an endless loop of upgrading with My Ecom Club. It’s something that you’ll have to be careful about if you do end up going forward with it.
As I mentioned, I personally use and enjoy affiliate marketing as you don’t need to deal with customer service or product inventory at all.

When you mentioned upsell it just turned me off completely. I know what it means to start an online business with tight budget. To be bombarded continuously with endless upsell can only discourage progress. Not a good strategy.
Why does many vendors think that using scarcity is the best way to go? I’ve come across many other products who literally say that you have only today to sign up and when you come a week later, you still have only today to sign up. That’s not professional.
And now being forced to call a coach is what it don’t comprehend. The decision should be mine to make. This is additional stress I for one would not be willing to take.

I actually don’t completely mind upsells, as they’re a part of the marketing process in general. Many brick-and-mortar businesses use them too.
However, these upsells are at another level, and the way that they kind of trap you into buying into them is really not cool. Especially since the upsells are at such a high cost that people are likely really struggling to pay.
I’m not a fan of the business advisor either because I know he’s there just to sell…
Then again, My Ecom Club does have quite a few good reviews, so people seem to be happy with them?
Thanks for walking us through your experience with the My Ecom Club platform and reviewing it for us. I am into drop shipping and have never paid for any classes or platforms along the lines of what is involved with this platform. There is plenty of free training available out there that is very effective.
It is also a concept that is not too hard to grasp. Sell something at a higher price than what you can buy it for, charge the customer and receive the money prior to ordering the product they purchased from the manufacturer and they will ship it for you to the customer.
There are even services that will provide a ready-made theme that connects with the major platforms to pull in all the product details and set the pages up for you. The ones like Shopify are perhaps the best-known ones, but there are a lot cheaper alternatives out there too.
It sounds like My Ecom Club is providing a service that some people are looking for, but the prices you mention are way out of range of what you really need to pay, as a lot is freely available online using YouTube or blogs that focus on drop shipping. That cheaper route is what I would go for over this My Ecom Club option. I agree with your assessment of this tool.

And then get their stores, but they still don’t get training on what to do with them, so they have to upgrade or they get stuck.
Meanwhile, they could go out and find great information outside of My Ecom Club.
It kinda takes your breath away when you read the cost of this product – $37 – $30,000. I don’t really know where to start with that?
First things first – who has that sort of money lying about when they want to start something new up in the career field? If you had that kind of money spare you wouldn’t be looking to start anything up (you’d stick with what you’re doing, as you’re obviously good at it!).
Does the product indicate at any point how many users/members have paid the full whack?
I’m not sure how many members have paid the top price, but don’t worry it’s easy to do because they have people on stand by ready to give you a loan! Crazy, right? I suppose if you were in the dropshipping business and you worked your way up, you could eventually afford to pay $30k to have more automation put in place.
But yes, I would definitely not think that that would be for someone new. What’s kind of crazy though is that the people who are new are still paying $2k to have their stores built for them because there really isn’t another option with My Ecom Club. Because they don’t give their members the full training on how to set up a store.
