The Great Heist Review (Is Messenger Marketing the Next Big Thing?)

Welcome to The Great Heist review!

No, this isn't a review for The Great Heist book or the movie, but rather for the ClickBank marketing product.

So if you're looking for a book review, sorry, but I haven't read that one. Reviewers gave it 4 stars though, so you might want to check it out! 🙂

The Great Heist Review

Anyway, The Great Heist I'm referring to is a marketing product that claims it's going to bust open a $1.47 billion dollar market. (This is a product that you may have seen before but called by another name. I'll explain below.)

This market is the messenger market.

The Great Heist claims that they can teach us how to use WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger to promote our products and make sales. The sales video claims that you don't need any marketing or technical experience. But that's not really true.

Let's dive into The Great Heist review and I'll explain why it's not quite that simple.

Tired of disappointing or scammy products?

I've got ya covered!

The Great Heist Summary

Product: The Great Heist
Cost: $9
Owner(s): Unknown
Good For: Mostly the product owner

The Great Heist Review

What is The Great Heist?

The sales video opens up by saying that if we play our cards right, we can claim our share of what history will look back on as "The Great Heist". In fact:

You can practically print money with The Great Heist according to the sales page.

Pretty bold claim for a $9 product!

The video then goes into some fear mongering, saying there will be a global financial crisis and right now jobs are being lost and marriages are being torn apart.

Our narrator says that if you've failed online before, it's not your fault because we never get the truth from the "fat-cat" gurus because they sell us last year's tactics that no longer work. (I've seen that happen a time or two.)

He says that he turned his situation around by stumbling on a secret that led him to the type of money the gurus show you but that you can't reproduce yourself. That secret?

The secret is a Shanghai Code

Um, say what?

The video goes on to talk about WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger and the fact that there is a huge amount of money to be made with these types of messenger apps.

Shanghai also has a popular messaging system called WeChat and WeChat generated $42.7 billion in advertising revenue. So the premise here is that we can learn how to create advertising revenue using Messenger and WhatsApp, similar to the way people are doing that in China using WeChat.

Our narrator goes on to imply that we can make massive amounts of money using this messenger marketing, even if we don't have technical or marketing experience.

He credits someone named Li Min for coming up with this system. (I'm not sure if Li Min is a real person or not. There is someone named Li Min out there that I'm pretty sure is not connected to The Great Heist.)

How Does The Great Heist Work?

Well, we got a little bit of information on The Great Heist and what it's all about, but we don't exactly know what we'll be getting for our $9.

The good news is, I actually do know because I've already seen this sales video.

In fact:

I've seen it with these other two programs:

When I reviewed The China Secret some time ago, I purchased the product so that I could get an inside look. At the time, I thought it was OK for the money. Unless things have changes since then, the main part of the product is 2 PDFs about setting up chat bots for messenger.

The good part of this is that chat bots are gaining in popularity and more and more companies ARE using them. The PDFs showed you how to set it up and how to use it to help promote affiliate offers in the messenger window.

It was complicated, and I never went on to figure it out.

As you can see, I have a chat bot right here on this website, and that's because Conversiobot made it much, much simpler. I haven't figured out if I could use Conversiobot's technology and implement it within Messenger, but even if that's not possible, I'm sure there are easier ways to do it than with the instructions that The China Secret gave.

Is The Great Heist a Scam or Legit?

The Great Heist is not a scam. You do get something for your money. I don't think that something is good enough to get you going making a good income (or any income).

The reason is because you will need a lot more help getting this set up than a couple of PDFs can provide. In fact, you really need a website that's getting traffic first. I'll tell you why in a minute.

Thumbs Down

The Great Heist Review -

Pros & Cons

  • Inexpensive
  • Money-back guarantee if it doesn't work for you
  • You can learn some basics of messenger advertising

  • Not enough information to be really successful at this
  • Will likely have to spend money on paid advertising
  • More complicated than the sales video lets on
  • You have to get users to subscribe to your messenger list so they can see your ads
  • You'll need an existing business to make this work
  • Unknown Owner
  • Most people don't want ads coming into the place where they private message people so it may be hard to get people to opt in to your promotions

Why You Need an Existing Business

You need an existing business because your Facebook Business page is where you need to set the Facebook Messenger chatbot up. If you're just starting from square 1, you'll need to learn how to build up your business in order to get people to opt in to your messages.

This doesn't happen in the blink of an eye. This takes a little time. Watch this video about messenger marketing to see how it all works together:

If you're looking to build an income online, then I recommend that you start from the beginning and lay a great foundation before going to methods like The Great Heist is suggesting.

We'll talk about how to do that next.

But, the price of this one is only $9, so if you're just too curious, you can grab The Great Heist here. (Just be prepared for a barrage of upsells to come your way.)

Start from the Beginning

Jumping ahead and tying to do messenger marketing before you even have a website or any sort of online business is putting the cart before the horse. What are you going to be promoting and how are people going to know how to find you if you don't yet exist online?

I recommend learning how to build a website first that you can then monetize. Once you have your site rocking and rolling and getting traffic and sales, then you can start branching out and using other methods.

How Do You Get Started?

This is my #1 recommendation for training that will take you from start to finish, step by step. You will be walked through every step of the process of building a website and monetizing it.

Not only will you have the exact steps that you'll need to take, you'll also have all the tools needed too. Just follow the process and soon you will have your very own online business that can make you money in a variety of ways for many years to come.

Unlike The Great Heist, or a lot of these other products you see out there, you won't be given just a couple of PDFs and a "Good luck with that!." You'll be given all the steps, all the tools, and most importantly, the support you need too.

Get stuck or have a question? Our community is so big that there is someone ready to help at all hours of the day, every single day.

And that support is priceless.

Trust me on this.

Is The Great Heist a scam? No, it's not.

Is it useful? Not really. Especially if you don't already have an existing business to work with.

Put the horse before the cart, get a website up and running and lay the foundation that you need to be successful so that you can actually make a full-time income online. I'm sure you don't want to just make a little money. Why make a little when you can make a lot?

Put the time and effort in to do it right, and it it will pay off for you for a long, long time.

  1. That’s a good review of The great Heist. I was looking for its information in internet but all reviews were keeping me under suspicion. I’m glad that I get to read your detailed and unbiased review of the great heist.

Yes, it may be inexpensive and promise quick bucks but all expert says that there is no short cut to success, we need to traverse the path of success in the right, as suggested by you in your top recommendation.

Thanks a lot for sharing this useful review and creating awareness.

    • You have it right – there are no shortcuts to success no matter what it is you’re trying to do. Whether it’s creating a website, or learning messenger marketing. Everything takes some time and practice. I’m glad you enjoyed my review. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Thanks for the thorough review Christina. I haven’t gotten to the point yet where I need something like this, but I was planning on looking into some type of messenger service in the somewhat near future. The language in their video and on their site definitely seems like it has the potential to be a scam but it’s nice to know that you can potentially get some value out of it. After this review, it definitely sounds like there are better options out there. Thanks again for writing this!

    • Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. I appreciate your thoughts!

  3. Messenger marketing sound simple and amazing to me at the first glance  You don’t need to pass through hell in building website and finding traffic to your website.

You’re very correct, last year tactics might not be as we think because change is happening every day. This will be the reason why I will not be able put in much of my potential on this business option. It might be uncomfortable  seeing Ads bulging in unnecessarily on my messager chatbox. Putting the targeted audience in my shoes,it might not seem good to them as well

With this reason, I’ll rather go through the process of creating my own website for affiliate marketing. This look so real but might take time. Thanks for this review.

    • I think messenger marketing could be a good option to promote yourself – eventually. But you’re going to have to build an audience that trusts you first. You’ll still need a website and to build traffic to it so that you can start to brand yourself, product or company.

  4. I must admit chatbots are becoming more and more common these days and I think the jury is out as to whether they work or not. Like you say some of then you need a degree to operate them. At least with the Great Heist if you don’t get it to work you can get your money back. Do you have many people converse with you via your bot on your website?

    • Yes! I actually get a lot of interaction with my chat bot. People use it quite a bit. And I know that it’s led to at least a couple of people signing up to Wealthy Affiliate, so that’s great. It’s awesome because you just set it up once and it does its thing.
