What is bUnited? [Can You Trust This Get Paid To Site?]

What is bUnited? That is a question I will help you answer in this bUnited review. This is a program that I have seen being floated around a Facebook group that I belong to.

It sounds warm and fuzzy…help the planet and get paid for doing so.

But is the “save the planet” spin just a great way to make you feel better about joining? Is bUnited really a scam, or is it legitimate?

Well, I can tell you right now that I believe it’s legitimate.

But:

I also think the “getting paid” part is not exactly what it seems and you may be a little disappointed in how it actually works.  

Let’s take a look and find out…what is bUnited and how does it work?

What is bUnited? [Review]

Quality

bUnited looks to be a high-quality website that is safe and secure. It has many founding members, and the Chairman and Co-Owner, Jim Jorgensen is a well-known successful serial entrepreneur. 

Ease

bUnited falls short in the ease category. While it’s easy to get your referral link and send it out to people to join, what’s not easy at this point is making money. There’s more to it than just referring people. Read below for the full details. 

Cost

It’s free to join bUnited, so there are no costs involved there. However, in order to make money with this, your referrals will need to shop with bUnited’s partners. The good news is that you will receive discounts on products and services that you already use. 

Summary: bUnited is a Get Paid To (GPT) site where you will get paid on your referrals, and their referrals (5 levels deep) – eventually. bUnited works with (or will be working with) companies who will offer their products and services to bUnited members at discounted prices. bUnited will send customers to these companies, giving them more business, and in turn, these companies will agree to becoming more sustainable and providing needed services around the globe. 

• Looks to be legitimate
• You could potentially make money with this
• You could potentially save money for things you already buy 
• There are good intentions behind it with requiring companies to be sustainable 
• The Chairman is a known person and has started many successful businesses, according to his Wikipedia page

• There only seems to be one partner so far
• How you make money and how you collect it is confusing 
• It could take years to be able to withdraw your money 
• Making money with this doesn’t seem quick or easy

It looks like bUnited might be a little too new where you can actually make money with it right away (because they need more partnerships first to make this work), but overall I think it looks like a good site to participate in. Just don’t expect fast or easy money.

What is bUnited?

bUnited is a “Get Paid To” (GPT) site where you will get paid for referring people to the bUnited platform. (Kind of. More about that a little later.) According to the bUnited website, they partner with different companies to offer discounts to members, and they then require these partners to provide different services to help make the planet more sustainable.

This benefits everyone by:

• giving you a discount on things you already buy
• bringing more customers to the partners’ products and services
• helping the planet and people around the planet

According to the site, there are 5 steps to this process:

1. Invite your friends to join
2. bUnited negotiates lower rates for its members on products and services
3. Members save 20% – 30% on things you already buy
4. Partner companies are required to be more sustainable
5. You get paid

bUnited says that they have negotiated discounts for things like:

• mobile services
• Netflix
• concerts
• airlines
• hotels
• Expedia
• car insurance
• pharmacy
• clothing
• banking & loans
• and much more

To sum it up:

You sign up for bUnited and invite your friends to sign up. You and your friends get discounts on a variety of products and services. bUnited’s partners are required to give back to the planet and become more sustainable.

How Does bUnited Work?

We have an understanding of what bUnited is, and now let’s talk about how the referrals work because it’s not as simple as it sounds. According to bUnited’s Terms & Conditions page, there are multiple levels of referrals that you can get credit for – up to 5 levels deep.

“You will also get credit for extended referrals – people that your referrals were responsible for causing a new person to join bUnited. Such referrals are limited to 5 degrees of separation from You ( That is; You, (1) your “Direct Referral”, plus “Indirect Referrals” (2) their referral,(3) their referral’s referral, (4) their referral’s referral’s referral and (5) their referral’s referral’s referral’s referral).”

How Much Does bUnited Pay?

The current rate for referring someone at the time of this writing is $10. You don’t just get s straight up $10 for every person you invite though. Here’s how it really works, according to their Terms & Conditions:

“The amount of any benefits that will be available for You to be withdrawn is calculated, giving a 20% share to each of the members credited for a referral of the amount to be made available, until each of the referring members has been paid US$10.00 (unless this amount is changed on for any future new members). The amount to be made Available to be Withdrawn, is calculated to be a third (⅓) of the fee received by bUnited from any Partner Company for any purchase made by any member that You have been credited as either a Direct or Indirect Referral until You have been credited the full amount You originally locked in. “

What it sounds like to me is that when you refer people, in order for you to receive the $10, they have to purchase things through bUnited’s partner companies. So you don’t refer someone and automatically get $10. You have to wait for the money to accrue through purchases made by your referrals.

How Easy Will It Be to Get Paid?

There is good news. Referring someone and just getting $10 for that is unheard of, and it would have immediately made me suspicious.

That’s similar to what sites like Viral Dollars, Clout Pay, Clout Bucks and CashLoad offer, and those all turned out to be data harvesting scam sites. Those sites have no way to make an income to pay you $10 per referral. bUnited actually has a way to create an income, and therefore I believe you would get paid for your efforts.

When you sign up, they give you a calculator to see what you could be paid based on how many friends you think you can sign up, and how many they’ll sign up. I put in a couple of numbers just to see and it came up with this:

While that looks great, I just don’t think it’ll be very easy to get paid.

Not because there’s anything wrong with this platform, only because your referrals have to remember to shop at bUnited instead of their usual places.

Is bUnited a Scam or Legit?

I have to admit, I was a little nervous that bUnited was a scam at first. But after going through the site, going through the Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy, it’s my opinion that everything checks out, and bUnited is not a scam. It looks legitimate to me.

However, I really don’t think it’s going to be easy to get paid. They even say so in their FAQs:

It could take a couple of years!

One Interesting Thing to Note

After logging into bUnited, I thought there would be a way for me to shop with their partners since that’s how this whole thing works. But there wasn’t any way to do that. They do seem to have a partnership with a company called Vodafone, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to shop with Vodafone through bUnited.

This makes me think that there aren’t any partnerships yet (except for Vodafone) and this is all too new. Which means that you’re not going to be able to get any money anytime soon.

Since there’s no one for you or referrals to shop with, there’s no way to get paid. In fact: there’s a blog post from the Chairman about this. Their plan was to make the site viral first so that they could entice business partners. 

If you’ve referred people to the site, you won’t get paid for those referrals until there are business partners and your referrals are shopping with them. 

This could take a while…

Conclusion

I am happy to report that bUnited looks to be a legitimate get paid to site, and there’s certainly no harm in joining and referring your friends to it. You can use my link to join, if you’d like. 

On the downside, it doesn’t look like it’s fully operational quite yet and there aren’t really any partners to shop with. This means that there’s no way (yet) for you to make money with this as your referrals have to shop with the partners in order for you to earn your money. 

It’s possible that the partner list will grow in the future and things will start rolling with this. It certainly wouldn’t hurt to try in this case. Click here to join bUnited.

With that said, if you like the idea of making an income online, my recommended way to do it is through affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is where you promote other people’s products and you earn a commission for it.
